Website Proposal
Overview
The Designer will build the Client’s vision for Client Name into a brand new online experience. The website will be modern, user-friendly, and promote the Client’s desired action. The Designer will build it on Squarespace 7.1 and ensure it’s optimized for desktop and mobile.
Website Package
The Designer will deliver the following by Today’s Date provided adherence to the proposed Timeline and Process.
A responsively designed Squarespace website: $1999.
A user-friendly, modern website that promotes your desired call to action: Call to Action
Navigation Pages will include: Home or “Landing Page”, About, Teacher Profiles, Programs/Services, Contact and Inquiry page. Also included are header, footer and 404 page.
Responsive design which is desktop and mobile friendly.
Includes initial build or “first draft”, one major revision, and up to three minor revisions.

Two 50-minute Squarespace training sessions.
Domain transfer assistance, if needed.
Post-launch support for 14 days after your website has gone live to fix any errors.
What’s not included:
Yearly Squarespace fees and domain name fees
Copy (i.e. text pertaining to your business)
Photography and photo editing
Custom graphics (including logos)
SEO after publishing and as your site evolves.
Social Media management
Post-launch website edits and SEO will be billed at the $75/hr rate.
Projects outside of the scope of the Website Package can be negotiated for a separate fee as needed.
Timeline & Process
Step 1: Planning Meeting
The Client and Designer will have a complimentary meeting to discuss Client needs for the new website to understand the scope of the project.
Step 2: Client Check-list
In order to begin work on the first draft of the website, the Client must complete the following check-list by Date:
Pay the 50% deposit
Upload as much relevant copy (text), graphics, photos, and videos to the Google Drive folder as possible. Please do not text or email this data.
Step 3: First Draft
Once the Client has completed the Client Check-list, the Designer will begin work on the first draft. The Designer will send the Client the first full draft by Date.
Step 4: Major Revision
The Client and Designer will work together to make all necessary adjustments to the website to match the Client’s desired feel. This can include all aspects of design from fonts, colors, spacing, heater & footer construction, and form building. At this time the Client may submit more copy, graphics, photos, and videos. The Client will take notes for the Designer to be reviewed at the First Revision meeting that will be scheduled by Date.
Step 5: Minor Revision Period
The Client and Designer will work together to clean up any final details on the website before site launch. The Designer will send a document that the Client can use to write out any changes for the minor revisions. The Client will take notes for the Designer to be reviewed at a minor revision meeting scheduled by Date.
Step 6: Launch plan
The website will be ready by Launch Date. To publish and give the Client ownership of the site, the Client must do the following by Launch Date:
Pay final payment, and any further agreed upon fees.
Register for Squarespace and pay publishing fees.
Release the Designer from the project by filling out the Client Sign-off Form.
Terms & Considerations
Payment structure: 50% deposit upfront. Final payment is due before site launch. Payments may be made via check (payable to J And M Strings, LLC.), Zelle (jandmstrings@gmail.com) or cash.
If the Client requests to extend this project deadline past the agreed upon date due to lack of deliverables (i.e. photos, text content, etc.), they will be billed an additional $250 per week. This fee will be added to the final invoice before the website is transferred to the Client.
Respect for Designer’s Personal Time: Any contact will be responded to within 48 business hours. Calling and text messaging should be used for emergencies and scheduling purposes only.
Use email for contact unless the situation is critical and needs immediate attention (i.e. rescheduling a meeting).
Upload content to our shared Google Drive folder. Please do not email or text content.
Resources needed for the design, such as fonts, stock photos, and icons, are not included in the prices above. Those will be paid for by the Client, and the rights to use them shall be theirs.
Additional work outside of the Website Package that appear out of the scope of the proposed project will be charged at $75/hour or a set fee negotiated by the Designer and Client as needed.
In case of project cancellation after the work has started, the Client must pay for the project in full to receive website ownership.

Upload all photos, videos, graphics, pdfs you own to Google Drive. Any text you can copy and paste can be pasted into this Google Document.
